Botrea is a working organic farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty in wonderful West Penwith, Cornwall. Botrea farm is certified organic by the Soil Association and has been so, since 2001. Botrea is, at present, the only Organic farm of any size (with the exception of a few small holdings) in West Penwith. We have holiday accommodation for a lucky few in our traditional North American tipis and luxurious Mongolian yurts made to the highest quality, entirely from locally sourced, sustainable materials. Food is self catering and we can help you in sourcing some of the finest organic produce including: seasonal veg, beef, pork, lamb and chicken from our own farm and neigbouring organic small holdings (subject to availability). You can always get fresh fish from near by Newlyn harbour. And the local butcher in St Just always has a good selection of organic meats available. Over the summer we are planning on offering courses on a range of subjects including: Bow making, Natural Dyeing and spinning, Willow weaving, Flint knapping, Green woodworking, Bush craft, Tipi and yurt construction, Yoga, Tai chi.
